On Saturday May 3, at 7 pm 'Divine Light' will be presented by Cantores Celestes Maritimes and the Saint John Men's Chorus under the direction of artistic director Kelly Galbraith. They will be joined by the Cantores Celestes String Quartet, virtuosic flutist Danièle Jones and fabulous collaborative accompanists Rebecca Burrill and Dr. Kevin Langford.
The concert will feature heavenly music written by Pergolesi 'Stabat Mater', Ola Gjeilo 'Ubi Caritas', Sarah Class 'Symphonie Lumiere', Paul Halley 'Voices of Light', Grieg, Healey Willan, and Andrew Lloyd Webber as well as beloved Canadian folk tunes. It's music that will help lighten your spirit and give you joy.
A $500 donation is being given to the Saint John Learning Exchange. This donation goes directly towards addressing food security for their learners. Specifically, it would support their Food Pantry and Supper in a Bag programs, which provide essential food resources to those who are facing barriers related to food insecurity.
The concert will be held in the beautiful acoustics of spacious Stella Maris Church on 201 Bayside Drive. General Admission $25, Wheelchair accessible.
Tickets are available from a chorister (or at the door while they last). Our last five concerts were sold out, so we suggest you contact us early to make sure you have a seat.
